CIESIN Associate Director Greg Yetman co-teaches the course Building Climate Justice: Co-Creative Coastal Resilience Planning along with faculty members, Paul Gallay, and Kytt MacManus and supported by teaching assistant Roberto Beltran. The course has a simple but radical core philosophy: environmental policies cannot be imposed from the top down; they must be built from the ground up. It started as an experimental pilot and has grown into a highly sought-after model for multidisciplinary education, drawing a mix of undergraduate and graduate students eager to move beyond theory.
