New Data Release: GRID3 NGA - Operational Wards v2.0

The “GRID3 NGA - Operational Wards v2.0”  is an updated dataset of operational ward boundaries across 15 Nigerian states. This improved version builds on version 1.0 with refined geometries, harmonized naming conventions, and corrections to identified boundary issues including splits and other inconsistencies.  Compiled from multiple inputs—including settlement data, health facilities points, polling units, and transportation and hydrological features—the dataset provides improved ward-level support for public health, development planning, and health delivery interventions.

This dataset is operational in nature and should not be considered authoritative. CIESIN plans to update the remaining states in Nigeria and complete nationwide coverage by the end of the year.
