CIESIN seeks a Programmer/Web Developer will deliver web development solutions using various JavaScript technologies, supporting and maintaining applications and sites built on these frameworks. The role requires skills in structured JavaScript and experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular. This individual will contribute to rapid prototyping, design, and development of cloud-based web applications and tools, and implement creative user interfaces and programs to interact with back-end systems and services. Additionally, they will assist with the design, development, and maintenance of websites built on the Drupal CMS. CIESIN seeks a GIS programmer who will lead the development of complex geostatistical data workflows, applied research analyses and methods across multiple functions using open programming languages such as Python and/or R. They will solve a broad range of data processing issues and propose creative solutions to efficiently process and analyze large data collections. The incumbent will: work independently within a collaborative research environment and substantially contribute to the development of innovative methodologies to improve workflows; manage data integration tasks; promote the use of open science tools and methodologies when practical; make substantial contributions to the GIS analytics knowledge-base; participate in conferences, seminars, and/or workshops; support the development of research papers; and coordinate the preparation of proposals for external funding. CIESIN is seeking a Financial Analyst Pre & Post Award. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting all grant related pre-award administrative activities including assisting principal investigators in preparation and submission of proposals. They will also provide efficient and effective post-award accounting, management & reconciliation of sponsored funding, and serve as liaison to Sponsored Projects Administration, Sponsored Projects Finance and other collaborating departments to ensure grants are being properly managed.The Pre & Post Award Financial Analyst will work to assure that the administration of sponsored programs related to research complies with federal, state and private agency rules and regulations. This position will report directly to the Associate Director of Finance & Administration and will work closely with the Senior Finance Manager.
