John N. Scialdone

John Scialdone is a Senior Staff Associate II at the Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN) of the Columbia Climate School. At CIESIN, he is a member of the Information Technology Division, and is manager of the Data Center Services group, responsible for archiving, documenting, and distributing data products, while also providing user support and outreach to those products. He manages the Data System Team (DST) process responsible for migrating data products, visualizations, documentation, and services from Development to the Production, which involves data and information management, web site content management, quality control, usability, design, requirements, data delivery, and statistics (usage metrics). Prior to joining CIESIN, John was a metadata coordinator, data/information/software developer, and data analyst for Raytheon Systems Company. He holds an MS in Meteorology from the University of Maryland (1985) and a BS in Meteorology from the State University of New York, College at Oneonta (1982).
